Our School Today

In the life of our school, the child can never be regarded in isolation. He grows and comes to fulfilment in a natural way only when there is a living bond, a continuity and a synergy between family, school and Church. For this reason, for us, children, teachers and parents are not separate realities, but parts of the same work of formation. Insofar as love, prayer, responsibility and dedication meet in all three, the child is able to grow beautifully, harmoniously and fully, prepared for life. Here lies one of the deepest convictions of our school, and one of the foundations upon which it was built.

The Children

There is a great joy in the life of our school today. The children come to school with gladness, and this is for us both a sign of grace and a sign that things are in their right order. They discover the world not in a fragmented way, but as a meaningful whole, full of beauty, truth and wonder. They grow in freedom, they learn to ask, to observe, to relate, to think, and slowly, each according to his own measure, they begin to flourish.

The Pedagogical Team

The pedagogical team also receives much joy from this work. We are blessed with dedicated teachers, for whom teaching is not merely a profession, but a vocation. Many of them are themselves surprised by the beauty and depth of this calling, and they, too, grow and blossom together with the children. They are moved by the openness, availability, curiosity and thirst for truth that they encounter in them. This gives them strength to remain attentive to each child, to respond creatively to their questions and needs, and to offer them not only the knowledge required by the Romanian and Belgian curricula, but also the wider horizons of knowledge that spring from love of God, of beauty and of understanding.

The Parents

The parents, too, carry a quiet and profound joy. They see their children at the beginning of the road, with their hesitations, weaknesses and limitations, and then, after a time, they begin to see them strengthened, healed of certain helplessnesses, and growing into themselves with more peace, confidence and light. They are deeply grateful for the love, dedication and patience of the teachers. And being grateful for the joy of their children, they themselves become more attentive, more responsible, and more eager to do well in the education of their sons and daughters, desiring to continue at home the same line and the same values that the school seeks to embody each day.

The Source of Our Joy

At the foundation of all these joys and reasons for gratitude lies the blessing of God, the prayer of children, parents and teachers alike, and the sincere desire of the whole community to fulfil the gifts entrusted to it. We know again and again that without God we can do nothing, but with His help, much can grow quietly and beautifully. This is why the life of the school is, for us, not only an educational work, but also a work of love, gratitude and hope.
